ANGEL V. MOORE
I didn’t create We See the World because I read about a need — I created it because I lived it.
As a woman who is blind and visually impaired, I know what it feels like to want to get out, travel, meet new people, try something different, and simply enjoy life — but sometimes have to depend on someone else to make those experiences possible.
I got tired of feeling like life had to wait until somebody was available to go with me. I knew there had to be other adults who felt the same way — people sitting at home saying, “I want to go too!”
That feeling became the heart behind We See the World.
I wanted to create the kind of community I was looking for myself: a place where adults who are blind or visually impaired can build friendships, explore new places, travel, laugh, be silly, try new things, and feel comfortable just being themselves.
My vision may affect the way I physically see the world, but it will never stop me from experiencing it. And I don't want it to stop you either.
I created We See the World because I believe we deserve more than simply getting through life.
We deserve to LIVE it.

ABOUT WE SEE THE WORLD
Life is meant to be lived — so let’s get out there and LIVE IT!
We See the World is a community for adults who are blind or visually impaired who are ready for more fun, more friendships, more adventures, and a whole lot more living! We’re talking nights out, good food, music, dancing, karaoke, laughing until your stomach hurts, trying new things, group trips, and making memories with people who understand you.
And listen — we plan on having FUN! 😂 You might catch us singing completely off-key, arguing over who gets the window seat, dancing like nobody’s watching, or taking a trip and coming home with stories we probably shouldn’t tell everybody!
This isn’t about sitting around talking about all the things we can’t do. We’re too busy doing them. Whether you come by yourself or bring a friend, the goal is for you to walk in feeling welcomed and leave already asking, “Okay… so when are we doing this again?”
Come make friends. Come laugh. Come explore. Come travel. Come be silly. Come be YOU.
